What to ask before you book

  1. Pick-up the day before: many shops hand over the equipment from the afternoon before, without counting it. You arrive in the evening and ski in the morning.
  2. Ski storage: near the lifts you avoid carrying skis and boots to your hotel every evening.
  3. Boot swaps: if they hurt on the first day, can you change them?
  4. Insurance: against breakage, sometimes free online, and what happens if they are stolen.
  5. The helmet: it is compulsory for everyone, and costs €14 to €30 for six days.
